Education for Sustainable Development
The Education for Sustainable Development Services provided by EnviroCentre’s multi-disciplinary team covers the full range of training and education on sustainability issues for all levels and for a broad client base. As a spin-out company from the University of Strathclyde, EnviroCentre has long been associated with delivery of high quality education services. Drawing from experience gained from research, contracted projects, and the practical application of innovative technologies EnviroCentre has undertaken projects for clients including the government, environmental bodies, industry, and educational institutions. Education and training has been provided throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland, and also further afield in Finland, Russia, Kuwait, and the Czech Republic.
 EnviroCentre has been at the forefront of developments in cutting-edge education for sustainability projects, aiming to provide a framework for integrated learning in partnership with communities, business, public and education sectors.
Key recent projects include:
- Designing, facilitating and organising the Water Framework Directive Stakeholder Engagement Process for the Ribble Pilot River Basin Project (Environment Agency)
- Delivering a 5–day Professional Development Course on River Basin Management Planning in Partnership with the Graduate School of Environmental Studies (University of Strathclyde)
- The Greenie Gang waste education resource for After School Clubs in Northern Ireland
- The Green Gang waste education programme for Scotland’s After School Clubs
- Developing a national sustainable development web-based education resource (Learning & Teaching Scotland)
- Sustainable Learning Fife Teaching Resource for Fife Primary Schools
Education and Training is provided to cover the following:
